From the earliest years of my life, I saw firsthand the cost of having no plan, no guidance, and no legacy. Growing up in Haiti, poverty and uncertainty were constants, and most families had limited access to the knowledge or tools to grow spiritually, mentally, physically, or financially. Those experiences planted a deep conviction in me: I wanted to build a life—and a business—that helps people steward all areas of their lives, protect what matters most, and create lasting impact for their families and communities.
My name is Berthony "Zac" Owen, and I’m the founder of Legend™. My life has been shaped by three vastly different chapters, each teaching lessons in resilience, faith, and purpose.
I spent my first 13 years in Haiti, navigating two very different realities. First, I lived with my biological family, where survival was a daily challenge. At age 7, I was placed in an orphanage—a place where stability, guidance, and opportunities to plan for the future were distant dreams. Witnessing the impact of having no support or structure left a mark on me and shaped my mission to help others grow in all areas of life: spirit, mind, body, and resources.
At 13, everything changed. My little brother, Mick, and I were adopted by the Owen family and brought to the United States —
a world filled with opportunities that once felt impossible. But even in that blessing came challenges. I had to learn English, adapt to a foreign culture, and catch up academically. I took seventh and eighth grade in a lab by myself, learning as I went. The odds were against me, but giving up was never an option.
By the grace of God, I became the first in my blood (out of 9 biological siblings) to graduate high school — and the first to earn a college degree, completing a bachelor’s in finance in just 2.5 years. That journey—from an orphanage in Haiti to a college graduate in America—showed me the power of guidance, opportunity, and holistic stewardship, and reinforced why I wanted to help others grow spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially while building a lasting legacy.
Legend™ was born from that journey. It exists to walk alongside others as they make intentional decisions, grow in every area of life, protect their loved ones, and steward their resources to create impact for generations. It’s not just about wealth — it’s about balance, stability, and a life built on faith and purpose.
